Memorial Day Family Memories

My grandfather was a Marine in the Vietnam War.
Grand daddy was actually on his way to college and he was very excited about his future.  Then he was drafted in the army.  But my grand father was always looking for a challenge so he went and signed up for the Marines. I remember a few years ago when we buried him four marine soldiers waited for us at the grave yard.  And as the limo and all of the cars arrived the soldiers prepared to salute my grandfather.  An old Vietnam buddy played the bugle and when the burial was finished all four soldiers shot their rifles into the dreary, gray clouds. It was a dreary fall day and I was five years old.  I can't remember who it was that folded the American flag that was on his casket, but someone folded it into a triangle. One of my cousins handed me some flowers and we all through them into the hole in the ground as the coffin sank into it.

My mother told me that she was two years old the first time she ever saw my grandfather because he was away at war.  He was shot two times and once my grand mother fainted before the men that came to the front door could tell her that grand daddy was still alive. Grand daddy won the purple heart.

Bye! And Happy Memorial Day To All!

Please Pray For Ian Thompson Part 2

Thanks to all you people who prayed for Ian, but today on Facebook, his parents wrote that he died peacefully in the hospital. Please pray for his family.

    My Favorite Book

"Winnie The Pooh" has got to be my favorite book ever. I have it on iBooks which is on my iPhone, and I also have the real book in my shelf.

This book is about the silly adventures of Pooh and his goofy pals, and if you've watched a few pooh movies you'd see that a few chapters were made into movies. My favorite part of the book is when pooh gets stuck in Rabbit's hole because he is fat from eating too much butter and bread.

Actually, I think there are four more sequels to this one. Anyway, happy reading!

    Field Trip

At one point during this video my mother held the camera on my closet
because my little brother was on the potty and you could see it from my room!

I was very excited about our school field trip today.  Kinda disappointed that it was so short and is over.  We had fun learning about pilgrims and candle making.  We dipped and formed a wax candle and brought it home.  You can draw with it on cloth, or use it as a decoration/souvenir.

I have been reading some very interesting books lately, and sometime later I want to share them with you.

    Book Reviews, By Priya

    Reviews:
Book: Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew and The Cinderella Ballet Mystery

This book was written by Carolyn Keene, who is one of a long line of Nancy Drew Mystery writers.
The book takes place in the fictional River Heights. At the time, Nancy and her two best friends, Bess and George are eight, and still new to the detective business.

While taking a ballet class, the three girls stumble upon another case when Andrea Wu's , one of the girls in the ballet class, and the lead role in the play Cinderella, slippers suddenly are stolen! If Andrea's slippers aren't recovered in time for the Saturday night performance, she can't be Cinderella!

Nancy, and her two friends try to recover the slippers and find the culprit. This book is fast moving but not one of my favorite Nancy Drew Mysteries. I prefer the Nancy Drew books when she is older, in the newer books she is younger and the not as experienced.

    Please Pray for Ian Thompson

This little seven-year old boy whose parent's are friends with my mother has heart failure and is in the hospital. Pray for Ian Please.
He needs all the prayers he can get.  Thank you.

God will help people in times in need, such as Ian, and make the sick well.

    Matthew 8:13
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

    Food Allergies

    • My brother is allergic to milk, barley, oats, hazelnuts, chickpeas, wheat, and eggs.
    • I'm allergic to peanuts, shrimp, lobster, raspberries, cats, and bunnies.
    • My mother is allergic to apples, artichokes,  bananas. and sugar (she's hypoglycemic.), and cats and dogs.
    • My father is allergic to peanuts (though he can deal with small amounts usually), shrimp, crab and cats.

Well, seems odd huh? It's true and there are other kids like my brother and I.

Some kids can't have soy, beef, or any kind of nuts. Can you imagine how hard that must be?

Books for kids about food allergies.

Do you like chocolate bars? There is a special type of chocolate made of minty rice made in a special store my brother can eat!! It taste better that Hershey's!

And that is saying a lot.

But don't worry about us, my mom finds lots of nutritious and yummy recipes to make for us.

    Stay tuned for more!

    Happy Mother's Day!

    Happy Mother's Day To All!
At church today we had a small crisis.
Ms. Ann and her daughter, who run the miming group for the youths, are in Washington D.C. for a cheer leading competition. They took the music which we needed!!
So we used my awesome new iPhone to BUY the two songs which are...

    • My love, my life, my all
    • He Reigns
They are both in the album Rebirth by Kirk Franklin.
So anyway, the church hooked my phone up to the the speakers and the day was saved!

    Thanks iPhone!!!!

    Happiness

See? As soon as you see this picture it makes you joyful.

    Or this.
If you are sad, you should look at pictures of cute puppies or kittens.

Happiness is when you invite a friend, or a neighbor to church and they accept.  My mother's friend sent her this video and we think it's fun.

    Optical Illusions

Look at center wheel for all others to move. Look at pink space next to wheels to see them all move.

    Huh?

    Nancy Drew Mania!

Lately I have had a craze on Nancy Drew video games. I have played

    1. The Haunted Carousal
    2. Danger By Design
    3. Danger On Deception Island
    4. Warnings At Waverly Academy

This is the game I want to play next. The scariest out of all the games I've played would have to be a slight tie between Warnings At Waverly Academy(because of some odd and otherwise crazy moments), and The Haunted Carousal(which was only a tiny bit scary in the end and because of the music.)
I think this is also a light game. A little exciting is okay but not too shocky or I won't be able to finish the game.
    Weird...huh?
    Pretty.
    Also pretty.
    Bye.
